Condolence Messages Pour In For Davido Over Son’s Death, Police Quiz Domestic Staff

The entertainment industry scene and Nigerians, in general, have received the shocking news of the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of popular, award-winning and global music icon, Davido; and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland.

It was gathered that the first son of the artiste died on Monday at his father’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Close associates of the artiste confirmed the tragic death of Ifeanyi on Tuesday.

Davido and Chioma were said to have travelled on Monday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders.

The police said about eight domestic workers of the singer have been invited for questioning.

British rapper and singer, Stephanie Allen, popularly known by her stage name Stefflon Don, took to her verified Twitter handle to pray for the singer. She tweeted, “Prayers for Davido and Chioma.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “About eight of them were brought in to narrate their version of what happened to assist us in getting what really happened.”

“At the end of their narrations, whoever that is found not guilty of negligence or not culpable in anyway will be allowed to go.

“Anybody found culpable will stay back to assist us in further investigation. The domestic workers are about eight that were brought in.”

Condolence prayers and messages are pouring in from Nigerians, politicians and presidential candidates of the PDP, APC and LP – Atiku, Tinubu and Obi.
