Following the release of presidential election results of Lagos and victory of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, traders of Igbo extraction and non-indigenes have been attacked by persons suspected to be hoodlums in the Idumota and Tinubu areas on Lagos island.
Soldiers have been deployed to maintain law and order.
This is in spite of appeal by the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to his supporters for calm over the victory of Labour Party.
There is no evidence of Police presence to support soldiers to maintain peace, safeguard lives and properties.
