Local and international flights at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and MMA2 local airport have been rescheduled as a result of the protest by the National Association of Nigerian Students,NANS, on Monday.
House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, has scheduled a Tuesday meeting with the leadership of ASUU, led by its President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, with a view to proffer solutions to the issues responsible for the prolongation of the strike.
Members of NANS converged at the MMA2, local airport terminal on Monday morning in protest against the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, joined the students and assured them of his support.
