2023: 1 Million Obidient Youths March For Peter Obi

Youth supporters of the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, otherwise known as Obidients, today, staged a 1 million man march in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.

The youths mobilised themselves from nook and crannies of Oyo State for the solidarity march.

Oyo State is governed by Governor Seyi Makinde of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking to reporters, a leader of the youths, said they were out to sensitise citizens of Oyo State to vote for the LP and Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential and general elections.

The youths converged at Iwo Road. Residents were seen expressing optimism at the ability of Obi’s candidacy to restore the hope of the masses.

According to one of the youths, “It is Peter Obi or nothing. We can’t continue like this as a nation. Look at the rising cost of goods and services as well as the rate of unemployment. Many people are losing their jobs daily. These old men do not have our interest at heart, that is why they do not care about the security of citizens.” Another added, “The hardship in the land has increased rate of crime, we do not tolerate criminals but when someone is gainfully employed or has enabling environment to run his or her legitimate business, such a fellow will hardly have time to think of criminal acts.”

They chanted, “We are the structure”, as they marched round the city with many of them abandoning their engagements to ensure the success of the march.
